I hope that everything is right with your arrival.

I would like send you some practical information about Czech Republic: J

Weather:

In autumn we have temperature between 10-20 degrees during the day with decrease at night. During autumn you must

expect also some rainy days.

Currency:

We have Czech crown and major credit cards are widely accepted in Czech Republic. Better rates could be obtained from the exchanges. In most cases taxi drivers accept EURO or USD but not always.

Public transport:

In Prague It is possible to purchase a ticket directly on a bus but not on the tram or underground (metro). It is best to buy public transport tickets in advance and they are on sale in Tabak shop or in tram, bus or underground stations from advance ticket machines.

Single Ticket –

24 CZK - ticket with unlimited transport options - for trams, buses and metro valid for 30 min. Good for a short journey in one direction.

32 CZK - ticket with unlimited transport options - for trams, buses and metro valid for 90 minutes. Good for a journey with a few changing.

24 hours ticket – 110 CZK – ticket with unlimited transport options - for trams, buses and metro valid for 24 hours from the time of validation in tram, bus or metro

30-day ticket – 670 CZK - ticket with unlimited transport options - for trams, buses and metro valid for 30 days.

(In Prague It is possible pay ticket by mobile)

Voltage

The voltage in the Czech Republic is 220 Volts; so if your electrical devices (i.e. laptop, shaver etc.) use a different voltage, remember to bring an adaptor with you.
