I will informed you about the selection of berthold equipment. As concern as approval of the Technical Assignment, Please be informed that the TA should be sign and seal by you or your manager. I have been attached the Approval page of TA. Please sign and seal this page and send to me. After that I can send the TA to the BNPP and NPPD for final Approval.

Dear Mr. Raji,
We have contact with the new representative of Berthold in Bulgaria. He stated that in priciple there should be no problem to deliver Berthold equipment to Iran, but this should be checked again.
We have discussed also Berthold LB 110 tritium monitor. Berthold representative DO NOT recommend the use of this equipment due to the following reasons:
1. The monitor uses gas flow detector. The work gas is methane or argon-methane mixture. The typical consumption is 5 cubic meters per 24 hours. Due to this high consumption, permanent gas supply should be organised. Special ventilation should also be designed due to extremly high flammable/explosion properties of the working gas.
2. Long measurement time is necessary to achieve satisfactory MDA.
3. Because the monitor is not so successful, the capabilities are not developed since the initial design - the monitor has output interface, but currently software is not available (not developed). Development of this software will require some time which will extend the supply of the equipment.
In Bulgaria two such monitors are supplied, but they are practically not used due to the above reasons.
In general Berthold representative recommended tritium sampler.
However if you insist I can ask him for offer for this monitor.
