Dear Ki-sig and Marina,

Please be informed that I sent an email ,around two weeks ago, to express NPPD request to postpone this task to Q3 2017. Unfortunately ,Considering my discussion with Marina in Tehran this week and taking in to account Ki-Sig following e-mail, I understood my e-mail has not been received by you due to unknown reason!!

let me to emphasize that I appreciate Ki-Sig efforts.I know it is too tough to arrange such mission.
Pl ease be informed as below:

A) NPPD suggestion date is : Q3 /2017,
B) We will discuss with Ki-Sig and Pal in my next visit in October on topic.

Group Fellowship Training on construction and commissioning management with focus on safety requirements

IAEA: K. S. Kang

2 IAEA staff and 20 NEX. The cost for the WS is expected cca. 100 000 EURs.

Group fellowship training

Q3-Q4/2016

NPPD: To send GCS until 30 June. New request

For preparation of this group fellowship (FE) programme, the following date is suggested : Nov. 21 (Monday) – Dec. 2 (Friday) – Two weeks including site tours.

- Host organization : Korea Hydro Nuclear Power Company (KHNP)

- Location : Global training center, Ulsan, Korea

- Lodging and Boarding : KHNP will provide dormitory and cafeteria (halal food can be prepared; facility equivalent to 4 star hotel).

Based on last year experiences, it is understood that detailed and practical experiences to the following topics is required:

1) Lessons Learned from Past NPP Construction Management

2) Planning & Scheduling Management of NPP Construction

3) Advanced construction technology

4) Plan and importance of QA/QC involvement in NPP construction: Keys for success

5) Critical path to manage construction schedule and management tools for NPP Nuclear island /Conventional island and Balance of plant Erection

6) Key risk factors to prepare the new NPP construction

7) Application of management system (or NQA)

8) Oversight organization of construction completion

9) National involvement and Transfer of technology

10) Payment methods according to progress of construction

11) Commissioning management and procedure

12) Coordination between vendor and owner/ operator

13) Physical Security

To proceed, we kindly request from you:

i) Confirmation of the training dates: - Nov. 21 (Monday) – Dec. 2 (Friday)

Please provide alternative dates if this date is not suitable to NPPD

ii) Confirmation of the scope of the training programme as per listed above: (1) to (13)

iii) Submission of nominations via FE Forms (attached) via the NLO office by 31 August 2016. This is to ensure adequate time for the necessary administrative arrangements and visa processing for all the participants.

I would like to kindly share the minutes of the meeting on NPPD TC Projects which was held on 10 – 12 May 2016 in VIC as attached. We look forward to the status of the agreed follow-up actions before the deadline as stated in the minutes.
