Dear Mr. Ulses
Thanks you very much for your email and your efforts for arrangement of TH workshop.
Regarding the date of workshop, we agree with date 23-27 May 2015 for TH workshop.
As concern as the agenda of the workshop, we proposed to limit (summarized) the said items (items which are indicated to the agenda) to maximum 1.5 or 2 days and proceed the remaining 3 days of the workshop with the following items:
•Integrated Process between PSA and Deterministic Approaches
•General aspects of implementation of practical methodologies for best estimate and uncertainty analysis
•Transferring the measured data obtained from the start-up tests to the input deck of the Computer code.
•Updating of the Databases and Engineering handbook based on commissioning and start-up test results for validation of models in order to investigate the most realistic plant parameters
•Qualification of plant nodalization using available experimental data
•Development of Integral Plant Model, Qualification process in Plant Modeling using NPP Commissioning tests for validation of accident analysis input data and models
•Key phenomena important to safety in analysis of accidents result in (decrease of coolant flow rate/increase of coolant flow rate/decrease in heat removal from secondary side/increase in heat removal from secondary side/decrease in coolant inventory/increase in coolant inventory/anomalies in reactivity distribution) and considerations in RELAP modelling
•Analysis of hypothetical transient for operation support
•Example of an EOP/PSA transient analysis, analysis of operating experiences, actual transient analysis, Improvement of plant availability, Design modification and Periodic safety reviews etc.
•Application of TH model (using some practical examples) in technical support of the NPP during design changes and systems/equipment modernizations.
•Application of TH model for modification of operation instructions/procedures as well as accident management programs.
•Practical examples of deterministic safety analysis to assess the equipment qualification with ageing considerations.
•Thermal hydraulic transients analysis in supporting the NPP during operation such as : pressurized thermal shock, thermal stratification transients, flow mixing analysis

Best Regards
M.Ghods

عنوان: May 23 - 27 WS on Thermal-Hydraulic Analyses

Dear Mr. Ghods,

I apologize for delay in communication regarding this Workshop, but I am happy to report that I have secured the services of two experts. One is from Russia as requested and my other expert is from Bulgaria. I will also be delivering some lectures as well.

The first question seems to be can you confirm if the week of 23 – 27 May is still good for NPPD? If the answer is yes then we can proceed to finalize the details.

I have a preliminary agenda prepared that I have attached for your comment. Please let me know if you would like to have any changes made.

I am looking forward to working with you on this and the follow on workshop and, once again, please accept my apology for the delay in communication on this activity.

Regards,

Mr Anthony ULSES | Senior Safety Officer |
